White Mulberry Leaf Extract

Many weight loss products work because they're stimulants that turn up the metabolism, and some people are against using stimulants in this way. But the extract of white mulberry leaf (morus alba) works differently. Studies suggest that it works as a sugar blocker and actually helps to lower blood sugar levels. It's also been shown to improve blood lipid levels.
In one study, a group was followed for 12 weeks. They took 800+ mg of white mulberry leaf extract 3 times per day (just before meals) and showed significant improvement in total cholesterol, triglyceride levels, and both LDL and HDL levels. In addition, morus alba (the extract used in our supplement) was tested in a group of 46 people for weight loss. All group members were on a low calorie diet; one group supplemented with white mulberry leaf and the other took a placebo. Those taking the supplement lost significantly more weight and saw their blood glucose levels improved. This study used 2400 mg of white mulberry leaf per day for those taking it.
Even WebMD acknowledges the value of this supplement, referring to a study where those with type 2 diabetes took 1 gram of white mulberry leaf extract 3 times per day for 4 weeks saw fasting blood sugar levels drop 27%. The same study showed additional evidence about its healthy impact on cholesterol.
Recommended Use: Based on the studies referenced, at least one capsule with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Ideally, we recommend 2 capsules with three meals a day for a total of 6 capsules a day.
